On Koh Phayam numerous cashew trees thrive along the picturesque coastline 🌿

These trees are characterized by their distinctive heart-shaped fruits called cashew apples, which bear the cashew nuts. The nuts are harvested and processed through a labor-intensive method. They are manually extracted from the apples, then dried and roasted to develop their characteristic flavor and crunchiness.

Cashew processing is a significant source of income for the residents of Koh Phayam, contributing to the local economy. We love the Cashews from Koh Phayam 🤍
