🌠 LOOK UP! THE PERSEID METEOR SHOWER IS HERE ✨

On the night of August 12–13, the annual Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak — and this year comes with an especially beautiful bonus: almost no moonlight.

🌑 The Perseids peak around the New Moon, leaving the night sky wonderfully dark and giving the meteors a much better chance to shine through.

The Perseids are one of the most famous meteor showers of the year. The International Meteor Organization expects a ZHR of around 30–50 meteors per hour in 2026 under ideal conditions — but the actual number you see depends greatly on your location, weather and sky conditions.

And there is something special about the Perseids: they are known for producing bright, fast-moving meteors, often leaving long trails across the sky.
So even if you only catch a handful, it can be well worth staying outside for. ✨

Here in Khanom, away from the bright city lights, why not take a little time to lie back, look up and enjoy the night sky?
