A school shooting occurred on 11 February at Patongprathankiriwat School in Hat Yai, Songkhla Thailand when a teenage gunman entered the campus and opened fire, causing panic among students and staff. The school director was critically injured while protecting her students during the incident and later died in hospital in the early hours of 12 February. Police arrested the suspect at the scene, and authorities confirmed that students were safely evacuated.

KOH PHANGAN - Officials from Than Sadet–Ko Pha-ngan National Park have safely rescued two foreign tourists who became lost in a forested area near Ban Haad Rin on Koh Pha-ngan, outside the park’s boundaries.
The park received a request for assistance at around 9:30 p.m. on February 4 and deployed its Smart Patrol unit as part of a coordinated search effort with Ko Pha-ngan district officers, the Tourist Police, and local administrative authorities.
Search teams located the two tourists during the initial operation and identified them as Zach Izhak Berlinski, an Israeli national, and Boris Andres Ponton Pacheco, an Ecuadorian national. They were found at a location confirmed to be outside the national park area.
Officials provided on-site assistance and escorted both individuals safely out of the forest before returning them to their accommodation.

WARNING - Storm “KALMAEGI” is forecast to downgrade to tropical storm and tropical depression moving pass Laos. It is forecast to move into Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand on 7 November 2025 before weakening to active low pressure cell, respectively.

The storm “KALMAEGI” effects the upper country with more rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rains will occur in the Northeast, the East, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity and the North respectively during 7-9 November 2025. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. Farmers should prevent for crop damage.

The wind force waves in the Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea should keep ashore until 7 November 2025.

Central

Scattered thundershowers mostly in Lopburi, Saraburi, Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Minimum temperature 22–25 °C Maximum temperature 29–32 °C Easterly winds 10–20 km/hr.

Eastern

Scattered thundershowers mostly in Sakaeo, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Minimum temperature 23–25 °C Maximum temperature 30–32 °C Easterly winds 20–35 km/ hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Southern (East Coast)

Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 23–26 °C Maximum temperature 31–34 °C From Chumphon upwards : Variable winds 20-35 km/ hr. height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. From Surat Thani downwards : Westerly winds 15–30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter, 1-2 meters offshore, and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Southern (West Coast)

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 23–25 °C Maximum temperature 28–31 °C Southwesterly winds 20–40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.

Bangkok Metropolitan

Scattered thundershowers. Minimum temperature 24–25 °C Maximum temperature 30–32 °C Easterly winds 10–20 km/ hr.
