SKETCH IT EASY

Every Monday at 8 p.m.
Sketch it Easy is a regular gathering with Anastasia for quick life sketches, where each participant both draws and poses.
At the start of the session, everyone is assigned a number, and a randomizer selects a model for each series of poses. We begin with 30-second sketches and gradually increase the pose duration to 3 minutes. Each participant poses for a total of no more than 10 minutes.
The session consists of three parts: two 30-minute drawing blocks and a sharing session. At the end, we take turns showing our sketches, discussing the process, and sharing our impressions and discoveries.
When you have only 30 seconds, a minute, or three minutes to draw, there’s no time for prolonged hesitation. You have less control over yourself and gradually discover a more personal, free, and natural way of drawing.
Quick sketches also help overcome the fear of the blank page and the inner feeling of “I can’t draw.” Here, there’s no need to create a finished piece or prove your skill level.
You can join at any skill level: try drawing people from life for the first time, get back into the swing of things, or practice your speed and observational skills. This format is suitable for both beginners and professional artists.
All materials are provided on-site.
Participation is by donation. Donations go toward paper, supplies, the instructor’s support, and the venue.
Everyone can draw — it’s just a matter of practice and the freedom you allow yourself.
