Something special is rising on Koh Jum!

This season, we’re starting a new tradition at Joy Beach Bar — Moon Nights at Joy, celebrating the Full Moon, Half Moon, and Dark Moon with music, good food, cool drinks, and the natural magic of our island nights.

Our very first Full Moon Celebration kicks off on 26 October, with live band music, good vibes, and dancing under the moonlight.

But don’t worry — Joy is staying Joy! ❤️

We’re not turning our peaceful beachfront into a wild Full Moon party. Moon Nights is about adding something special to your island stay: a little music, a little dancing, good company, and beautiful moments by the sea — while keeping the relaxed, rustic island atmosphere we all love.

Whether you’re staying with us or visiting from elsewhere on Koh Jum, you’re warmly welcome!

Back in 1986, when we had to leave our little place in Railay, Joy set off on a new adventure — to find the most beautiful stretch of beach to call home. 🌴

That journey led her to Koh Jum, where she fell in love with a long, gentle curve of fine white sand meeting the clear Andaman Sea. It was quiet, untouched, and full of charm — everything she dreamed of.

And that’s how Joy Bungalow was born — the very first resort on Koh Jum. 💛

Every evening since, we’ve celebrated the sunset over Phi Phi Island, grateful for this view that never grows old. 🌅

Come see it for yourself — the beach, the sunsets, and the simple island life that started it all. ✨

Meet Saman!

For those who know him, you’ll be happy to hear that Saman is doing great — healthy, strong, and still keeping Joy’s gardens looking their best!

At 70, and after more than 25 years with Joy, he’s living proof that island life keeps you young… or at least keeps you moving!

Saman is looking forward to welcoming you all back this season — and, of course, making sure the gardens are looking perfect when you arrive.
