Stayed one week. Wish it had been a month!
+ I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Service Apartment 102. The apartment is immaculately clean, fresh and spacious. The air-con is efficient. However, I only used it on going to bed. At all other times, I preferred to slide open a very large window to give the room more "outside" feel. There are good lighting options, from bright to subdued. The wifi is fine. The fridge goes off when the key is removed but is super fast at getting cold; a drinks can in the freezer will be frozen within an hour!
The breakfast is freshly cooked, tasty and substantial. It often came with extra treats like pudding or fruit. Already being full, I usually took these back to the apartment to eat later. The communal area on the ground floor where breakfast is taken also has snacks and drinks available. I sometimes sat there during the day to do stuff on my laptop.
Contrary to comments by some other reviewers, I found the owner to be a very friendly, warm and welcoming man. His wife could not be nicer. They are two lovely people.
Location-wise, the apartment building is on a quiet road, with the apartment itself at the back of the building, so very peaceful. it's about a fifteen-minute walk to Lampang's central areas., though there are shops and restaurants closer to hand. Overall, then, the apartment is a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay. It feels like home!
- Only the name! "Service Apartment 102". It sounds cold and sterile, and does not do justice to what is a lovely and charming place to stay.
