Some recent photos and video. The Loy Krathong lantern festival was amazing. The free lantern release event was cancelled, leaving some very expensive commercial events. I was able to get a van and guide and find an alternative place for guests from two of my places; smaller, but a lot more authentic than a commercial event!

Minor improvement. ;) Freshened up the front of this house and brought back the 1990s style ceramic balcony pillars. (These were covered before when the original blue ones cracked. Now we have new green ones. And drain pipes. 💚🤍🌿

Flights to Samui are much cheaper than you think when you can be flexible about the date. And the same for accommodation, even on one of the most popular beaches.

You can have a one week holiday at Lamai Beach for two people for 20,000 Baht total, *including the flights* on Bangkok Airways.

Or 15,470 Baht for one person.

This is the morning flight, and it includes early check-in so you don't need to wait. And with Bangkok Airways you arrive directly on Samui, no need for vans and ferries. A taxi from the airport to the apartment is about 320 - 400 Baht on InDrive.

The flight arrives 8:15am so you can be checked in and off to the beach by 9:30am. :)

You can book the flights at www.bangkokair.com

The French Connection.. One family from France checking out but they're on the night train that only departs in the evening.. But the next guests, also French, are on the arriving sleeper train early in the morning.. And the housekeeper needs time in between to get the house ready.

So we can't offer a late check out, BUT.. there is the Shangri-La hotel which offers pool use for a family of four for 850 Baht, which includes 300 Baht credit for food or drinks. Meanwhile the arriving guests are having breakfast at the equally excellent l'Opéra bakery.

'Above and beyond', Airbnb calls that. 🤗😅🙏

Ziv's bear was accidentally abducted by the cleaning lady and then rescued from the laundry area. After a sleepover at my place they were reunited this morning. 🥰🐻🤗✨
