Lifestyle & Design Hostel, renovated from 60 years old Thai wooden house, is located in the city near Saturday walking street, local street food (Pho Khun Meng Rai Monument), and free city tour by tram. We completely renovated the old wooden house and resurrected it on 7 October 2017 to be a lifestyle hostel at the heart of the city. Our hostel is located in the downtown area of Chiang Rai and is
just a few minutes walk from Saturday Walking Street, Free City Tram, and Night Street Food. Famous Temples, so-called WAT in Thai, such as Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Ming Muang, Wat Phra Sing, Wat Klang Wiang, and city attractions like Free City Tour (main station near The King Mengrai the Great Memorial), City Clock Tower (designed by the famous artist Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat), Fresh Market are all within walking distance. The original Baan Mai Kradan, or Board house in English, was built in the 1960s and is a typical Thai house owned by locals. When renovating came in, we tried to salvage and reuse as much as we could from the old house. Our redesign principles simply kept the original structure of the old house which is made from old wood, as you see in the middle of the new house. Our renovation concepts are not only to retain the sense of the original Thai House Design and identity such as Sao Lang Mah or Pillar of the Dogs, Fa Lai or 2 Layers Sliding Wooden Windows, but also to add Eco & Energy Saving Concept to the renovated house. Today our lifestyle hostel welcomes backpackers, and travelers with premium services like Free Breakfast, WiFi, 24-hour access, Free Luggage Lockers, an Activities Garden, a Living zone (Living room, Pantry), and Exclusive Tour Packages. Our reception there is a Travel Information Center, where customers can get help from our staff to book flights and bus tickets, as well as tickets for shows and tourism.
