🇺🇸 🫡 The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier left San Diego last November on what was supposed to be a six-month assignment in the Pacific and South China Sea. The ship was diverted to the Gulf after the US and Israel began military operations against Iran in late February. They are finally getting a well-deserved break after 10 months at sea.

About bloody time. The 14:00-17:00 ban on alcohol sales has been lifted.

New permitted alcohol sales hours:
11:00 – 24:00 daily, special zones with extended hours, like Pattaya or Patong, can sell later until 4 AM.

This is being implemented on a 180-day trial basis to evaluate its impact on public health, safety, and socio-economic factors, with a formal review scheduled thereafter. It also allows people an hour after the legal venue closing time to finish their drinks before any penalties apply. The period is a trial and being monitored by both pro alcohol and opposition groups.
