This Khon mask portrays 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒐 𝑾𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒘𝒂𝒏, one of the Four Heavenly Kings in Buddhist cosmology. Revered as a powerful guardian, he is believed to ward off evil and bring wealth, prosperity, and good fortune.
Expertly crafted from cast brass, the mask is adorned with gilded enamel metalwork and shimmering Thai mirrored glass, exemplifying the beauty of traditional Thai sacred artistry.
Created by 𝑷𝒊𝒔𝒖𝒕𝒓 𝒀𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒐𝒔𝒐𝒅, a descendant of 𝑲𝒉𝒓𝒖 𝑱𝒐𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒖𝒊𝒔, this remarkable artwork is displayed in the reception area of Baan Debtida.

This Khon mask portrays Phra Phirap, a fierce manifestation of Shiva and the revered master of Thai classical dance and music. Believed to dispel evil and bring success and prosperity, he is depicted with a broad face, fierce eyes, and distinctive fangs.
Expertly cast in bronze and adorned with gilded enamel, gemstones, and diamond-cut synthetic fangs, the mask is a remarkable example of Thai sacred craftsmanship.
Created by Pisutr Yangkheiosod, a descendant of Khru Joe Louis, Thailand’s National Artist, this artwork continues a distinguished legacy of Thai performing arts.
This artwork is displayed in the reception area of Baan Debtida.
