How to get here:
By Train. Denchai is on the main train line running between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. An additional line is now being completed to Chiang Rai. You will be picked up from Denchai station. The station is around 10 minutes from the house.
By Bus: Several bus companies run through Denchai from all over the country. You will be picked up at the bus station/stop in Denchai.
By Air: You can fly to Sukhothai or Lampang airports, which are both around 70 minutes away.
By Car/Bike: The house is just off of the main road running from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Opposite the big temple with reclining Buddha.
Phrae is a great place for cycling and biking. You can rent both here. Rivers are close by and waterfall fall out of the hills surrounding Denchai and Phrae.
We are new open and pictures will follow. We are waiting for you to come and help create some character for our new place. :-)
Rooms:
Three bedrooms. 2 double and one twin. Can sleep 8 maximum. Individual room rates: 600 baht with fan and 700 baht with aircon per night.
Whole house rental:
2000 per night.
Long stay reduced rates available.
Camping space is also available and being developed. 200 baht per night.
Eating:
There is a huge kitchen for you to use for self catering. Eating establishments are 5 minutes walk away and ten minutes by bike in Denchai. You can experience Alek's legendary cooking on request and subject to availability. :-)
Some rooms and the lounge area have TVs with youtube and netflix. All areas of the house has internet access. There is a large communal area outside and large garden.
The house is large and spacious with a garden full of fruit trees. You are welcome to pick and eat any fruit in season. We have mangoes, lemons, limes, oranges, cherries, custard apples and tamarine.
