"I trained at Unit 27 for 2 months, July & August of this year. For the first month of my stay I was hitting the cardio hard and attempting to lift a few weights (when I say lift, really I was just swinging them around in the hope I might do myself some good - I had no idea what I was doing). I decided it was high time I invested in training with a PT so I could learn about what I should be doing during my weight sessions and really start to build some muscle. Having seen pretty much all the trainers at the Unit in action I decided to ask Trish if she would be happy to train me - best decision I ever made. For me, Trish was the perfect trainer - considering my lack of knowledge about how to weight train coupled with my poor form, Trish never made me feel inadequate which must have been quite the task. Trish is the perfect mix of supportive and encouraging, I always felt comfortable and in very safe hands. Saying that, Trish is the smiling assassin - she may look harmless but should I be flagging on the final few reps, Trish would push me to get me there and that feeling of finishing strong is worth the temporary pain. Trish also took control of what I was eating whilst training at the Unit, you cannot underestimate the role what you eat has to play. They say it is 80% diet and 20% exercise, it is so true - Trish coupled my food plan with my exercise schedule and the results were really amazing. If you want to make a major lifestyle change, ditch the fad diets, burn the weight watchers book and get yourself on a flight to Thailand. Go find Trish and the rest will all fall into place. Another massive thank you to Trish (and Frankie of course - if you think you're fit then check out one of Frankie's Death Row classes and your idea of fitness levels will soon change!), I cannot wait to get back and train with you again.
