🕊️ Visitor of the Day at Khao Sok Silver Cliff Resort 💚

Today we were lucky to spot a beautiful Common Emerald Dove (Chalcophaps indica) right here at Khao Sok Silver Cliff Resort.

This shy forest pigeon is easily recognized by its stunning iridescent emerald-green wings, chestnut-brown body, and bright red beak. Despite its colorful appearance, it is often difficult to spot as it prefers quiet forest habitats and blends perfectly into the surrounding greenery.

The Common Emerald Dove is found throughout South and Southeast Asia and is commonly seen in tropical forests, plantations, and shaded gardens. It spends much of its time foraging on the forest floor for seeds and fallen fruits.

Moments like these remind us of the incredible wildlife that calls Khao Sok home. 🌿
