Sam's review of April 20th 2017 captures the place perfectly:
“I stayed here for 10 days with my family. We met Udom (site manager) who showed us around and was at hand the whole time to help with anything we needed. Greg was really helpful, communication was great with quick responses, he arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and taken to the house. We thought the house was absolutely amazing! Beautifully situated in the hills, uniquely designed, nestled between boulders and rainforest, surrounded with wildlife; great for bird watching and star gazing! This place's greatest assets are also it's downfall, the view from the house is amazing; but there is a really REALLY big steep hill leading up to the house. We used bikes that just got us up one at a time, a 4x4 is recommended (bikes are cheap to hire too). But it is a retreat after all, and that's what made it so perfect. From the house you can hear nothing but wildlife, birds tweeting, wind blowing. You can't even see or hear houses near by. The garden is outstanding, beautiful and clearly managed well. The house was well equipped with everything you would need including a water filter to produce drinkable water from the tap. Cleaners visited while we were there to change sheets and towels which was a nice touch. We were unfortunate to get some bad weather with thunderstorms keeping us stuck inside; Greg and Johanna had plenty of games, Dvds, cds and books available to keep us entertained. The pool is literally a 2 minute walk from the house and we had the space to ourselves most of the time. A 5 minute ride from the house is a small village that has everything you could need, bars, restaurants (fisherman's chalet was my favourite) and a small shop, the people were all so kind and friendly. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay away from hustle and bustle, but surrounded by nature and wildlife, this is the place for you! :)”
