🎉✨ Happy Songkran Festival! 🌊💦
Today, we celebrate Thai New Year, a vibrant festival known as Songkran, marking the beginning of a fresh year with water, smiles, and blessings. It’s a time of joy, renewal, and heartfelt connection across Thailand from April 13th to 15th.
🙏 Traditionally, Songkran is a time to visit and show respect to elders, family, friends, and neighbors. Water, a symbol of cleansing and renewal, is gently poured over Buddha statues and the hands of elders to wash away the past year's misfortunes and to wish for a fortunate and healthy year ahead.
🌺🚿 The streets come alive with spirited water fights, symbolizing the washing away of one's sins and bad luck. It’s a festival filled with laughter, splashes, and the joyous shouts of "Sawasdee Pi Mai" (Happy New Year)!
