My last morning at Amonteera. I arrived late Monday and now I am off again. Stere has been good staff training, menu revision, and menu sampling. It is wonderful, as the person usually representing the villa to new guests, to now know the staff and what rhe villa has to offer better. The new access road is nearing completion and a new credit card machine should be installed soon.

This photo, as published on Facebook, is just a small cut of a panorama photo I just took. It has been hazy like this my entire stay, but that has its charm too. Hopefully I will wind a way to show you the entire photo soon.

This is Nils. Many of you have met me online when booking your stays. Last night I arrived at the villa and I will stay here for a few days to acquaint myself with new staff and help as I may. This morning at 06:30 I walked down to the beach and I was back by 08:00. Taking a dip in the Andaman Sea was fantastic. The new access road is nearly finished and takes some time off the walk, but it is steep, so if you're not up for a long uphill walk, use the van. Also, traffic on the road below can be dangerous and crossing that road on foot is risky. At the beach, the sand was fine and the water wonderful. At the north end of the beach I saw some fish; nothing dramatic but still nice. I did see a small parrot fish there on another stay. Anyway, it was a wonderful way to start the day.

Phuket SandBox Model

1) Available for fully vaccinated travellers from low and medium risk countries
2) Vaccine must be recognised by WHO or approved for usage by the government of Thailand designated countries
3) All travellers are subject to take a PCR test on Day 6 and Day 12 which will cost from 2,500-3,000 baht each and must be taken at a hospital
4) Children aged 6-18 are subject to a PCR test on arrival, on Day 6, and on Day 12
5) Children below the age of 6 will not be subject to any tests, unless the test result is required from the airlines.
6) Travellers are eligible to travel beyond and out of Phuket after 14 nights spent within Phuket.
7) No minimum stay is applied for those intending to enter and exit from Phuket without leaving the island during their itinerary
8) Travellers are not allowed to travel to Phi Phi or Phang Nga islands in the first pilot month. Any changes will be released by Covid Centre
9) Travellers must have a confirmed booking in the SHA+ certified accommodation for 14 days. Accommodation can be changed however must be SHA+ certified for the first 14 days of the itinerary.
10) Travellers must apply and attain a Certificate of Entry prior to their travel into the Kingdom.
11) Travellers much have insurance to cover at least 100,000 USD
12) Clubs and bars will remain closed in Q3 (For more information, please wait the announcement from Phuket administration)
