The perfect getaway for families, couples and mature travellers, Riviera Beach Resort is set in a calm and peaceful location on the island’s premier white sandy beach, yet within a short walking distance to the sleepy local village. Individual air-conditioned bungalows are nestled in a spacious garden of coconut and cashew trees, with beautiful sunrise views of the Andaman Sea. With private tours to the famous Emerald Cave and secluded snorkelling bays, this family-owned resort also offers several land-based activities, including swimming pool, kayaks, mountain bikes, table tennis, badminton and small library. The beachside restaurant serves sizzling Thai, Chinese, and Western cuisines. A full range of tours and transport options is available, and the managers are fluent in English and Thai. Profits from Riviera Beach Resort are used to fund a rural primary school for Thai kids with bilingual and environmental education at the core of its policy. The resort limits the use of disposable plastic and encourages guests to help keep this tranquil beach clean.
