Our Story

The Beginning

We started the construction of this property in 2006 with 19 cottages from the empty land with only Coconut trees. From day one until now, GajaPuri will be 14 years old in 2020 with 47 units. If hotel is human, it will getting to the stage to be teenager. The unique of GajaPuri is wood, the key element of the property. Guest can feel different with their five of senses. Even though wood is extremely sensitive with heat and humid which Koh Chang is. But we wanted guests to feel like we feel, warm and welcome in a natural cabin with a maximum comfort that we can provide. The mix and match between the classic elements with the modern comfort equipment, this include the mega size of door frame, bed, the height of the ceiling to accommodate our European guests. Beside wood, tree and our garden are also important elements of the properties. The most unique structure in GajaPuri is our wood walkway along the properties. Guests like to walk with their bare feet to get their natural feeling or wants to get closer to the nature.

GajaPuri is like children, we wants to grow old and look at its development of course in a better way. Some of our staffs stay with us since day 1 or even when we were developed this land. That’s why our staffs is one of our strongest point with high score in those websites and some of them became a good friend of our guests. Talking about our properties if we were guests and revisited us every year, they must found something new or changed. We never stop to try or to implement our service that we thought it’s better. Sometimes it’s right and sometimes it’s wrong but we have learned from and try to do our best. We are not an investor who only care about budget but we are the owner who loves this project and wants guest to love this place too. We wanted them to be happy when they stay with us. We never stop improving our properties and we believe our vision will bring GajaPuri Resort, Koh Chang to be one of the top five local hotel in Koh Chang.
