I playfully ask, “Aren’t there any rocks where you live?” even though I know the answer 😊eggermont and are two young Belgian climbers 🇧🇪. They spent five days of their Turkish holiday in the Aladağlar Mountains; they both hiked and took rock climbing lessons from us. As you know, there aren’t many real rocks in Belgium, but there are many artificial walls. They had always climbed on artificial walls anyway... For the first time in their lives, they touched real rock, and it was in Kazıklı Canyon. They didn’t know how to belay, but after we show them, they belayed each other during to climbing. Together, we climbed some very beautiful routes suitable for their skill level. Seeing their smiling faces at the end of the day was a great pleasure for us too.
