That “too good to be true” deal usually is. Protect your holiday with these 5 checks:

Is the villa LEGAL + licensed?
Illegal villas get shut down mid-stay. Ask for the Turkish tourism licence number. No licence = no comeback.

Who actually manages it?
A real local team on the ground = help when you need it. “We just advertise it” means you’re on your own if the pool turns green.

Are reviews recent + real?
5 stars from 2019 mean nothing. Check Facebook groups + Google for 2024/2025 guest photos + comments. No reviews? Big red flag.

What happens if something goes wrong?
AC dies in August. Is there a 24/7 local number? Or will you spend your holiday on hold to a UK call centre?

Can you speak to a real person before you book?
WhatsApp call, video tour, proper answers. If they hide behind emails and bots, how will they help when you’re stuck at the villa gate?

Bottom line: A legal, locally-managed villa with a real team costs a bit more. Losing your whole holiday costs everything.
