If anyone is worried by the constant talk of price increases on the Turkish expat sites, here is some data collected by TUI. The second column shows the average cost of a 3-course meal for a family of 4 including wine - the second shows the increase this represents on last year's prices.

I am about to publish my first novel! Set in a Turkish village, it is about families and change and is full of local flavour. It will be available on Amazon as an ebook and paperback in early May. It has taken me a long time to get here and I am very excited! At POPPY APARTMENTS, everyone is welcome to come and use our pool (no minimum charge). Our menu includes English and Turkish breakfast, avocado on toast, American pancakes, burgers and wraps, salads, lasagne, homemade quiche and brownie and ice cream with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. From our Sushi Station menu we serve sushi, noodles, poke bowls and a variety of Asian dishes. We have a pool table and games (Okey, backgammon, Monopoly and others), as well as toys for the children.
