Yayla has won a Trip Advisor Award (May 2014): Certificate of Excellence Yayla is a beautiful, stone villa nestling happily on the edge of the hillside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is situated next to the pine forests and overlooks the Uzumlu valley. There are three air conditioned en suite bedrooms - perfect for three couples or a family of six. Uzumlu is a traditional Turkish vil

lage with a relaxed village square with a mosque, tea houses & a few restaurants. The people are very friendly. The village is famous for its wine and lace making and is known for its fine grapes. The word ‘uzum’ means “grape“. Many of the local women make & sell their goods in the local shops such as scarves, table cloths, curtains & other linen products. On the walk to the villa, you will often see grapes hanging from traditional farm holdings with chillies drying with sheep and goats wandering down the narrow lanes.

Yayla still has availability for this Summer 2016. The villa is free from August 8th for bookings; a lot of people are concerned that Turkey is not safe. I would not rush to go to Eastern Turkey and I would feel cautious about staying in Istanbul but I don't think twice about going to Yayla and lovely Uzumlu. It is so quiet there and peaceful.
Turkey is an enormous country. Eastern and Western Turkey are vey different, so there is no need to be fearful about being in the Fethiye area.

The main bedroom at Yayla now has a wooden table & 2 chairs on it, so you can have a private breakfast on the balcony and take in the breath taking views. Please contact me if you would like to know anything about Yayla. Would you like to go this summer 2016. Flights are v cheap, £60 one way in July. Grab it while you can; they are usually £250 one way. Very safe & peaceful environment, contrary to media suggestions!!

Last week three families booked to atay in Yayla in July and August 2015. There is apace for a 9 day holiday in July and a 5 day holiday in august but lots of avialability in April, May, June and September.
