Welcome to The Host Istanbul! One of the oldest rental apartments in Sultanahmet –opened in 2007 as Ulas Suites- now serving as the newest “hostel & flats” in town. We have re-designed our apartment into a “hostel & flats” and named “The host” where our experience and hosting passion gathered. The host is at your service with its 3 uniquely designed and furnished dormitories, 2 private double room
, 2 one bedroom flats and a living room with patio where we all get together, eat, drink and chat. The host is situated in the centre of Old City Sultanahmet a stone’s throw from the impressive Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Topkapi Palace. The Grand Bazaar and Spice Market are only 10 minutes walk away so not too far to carry all your wonderful bargains back! The tram is nearby to connect you with all areas of Istanbul both efficiently and cheaply, as are many wonderful roof top restaurants, cafes, bars and shops to while away your time. The area has a very calm, quiet and relaxed atmosphere at night perfect for those wanting a little tranquillity and to escape the noise of city centre hustle and bustle. You will always feel very safe and comfortable in this area even when walking back to The host on your own. The host is offering variety of accommodation types for all, from a solo travellers to a mid-sized groups (up to 20 people) or families with its smartly situated units. Uniquely designed cosy dormitories include backpack sized lockers and writing desk. Each bed and locker is named with greatest metropols of the world such as Rome, Sydney, Paris, New York and London. There are reading lamps and electric plugs by each bed. Bathroom and toilet en-suite. Linens, white towels, slippers served complimentary. Wi-Fi available. Spacious flats contain a double bed in bedroom and two single sofa beds in living room plus a futon bed provided upon request. Each flat equipped with large flat screen TV with satellite, kitchenette, dining table and A/C. The host’s cosy living room & patio is a place where you are welcomed and be nourished with our tasty breakfast and affordable food during the day. You will receive a free map and detailed information regarding your interests and expectations from our 8.000 years old Istanbul. We will assist you to plan rest of your trip throughout Turkey. We can even provide you an experienced travel advisor upon your request. The host’s kitchen is open everyday between 07.00 and 22.00. We serve everyday different traditional breakfast platter between 07.00 and 10.30, varieties of Turkish food served all day long. Do not forget to take a part in our cooking workshops (only in summer season, limited participants)
