Berk Guest House Berk Guest House (a.k.a. BGH) This home has been in our family since 1934 when it was originally purchased by our late grandmother. After graduating from J.W.

Her dear and only son, Güngör EVRENSEL and his wife, Nevin EVRENSEL, began operating this place as a guesthouse in 1987 following their retirement from British Petrolium. Berk Guesthouse was operational until the winter of 2009. Their daughter Yeşim was their right hand while they operating the guesthouse. In 2009 Evrensels took their second retirement to spend time with their grandchild and enjoy

the rest of their lives together. Their daughter Yeşim married Ahmet Turan and received the "Turan" surname. Yeşim and Ahmet have a daughter "Derin Deniz Turan" who was born on February 8, 2010. Ahmet Turan has been involved in the Real Estate business for many years. Yeşim felt herself ready to run the guesthouse after having a break. Yeşim is the manager of the "BERK HOTEL". She graduated from Istanbul University with BS degree in World Geography. Yeşim then continued her education in the U.K. , studying Hotel and Restaurant Management at the Gloucestershire College, Gloscat, Cheltenham. Yeşim is fluent in English and speaks limited French and Italian. Yeşim has travelled extensively throughout Turkey and internationally including England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Israel and U.S.A. Yeşim has guided some select North American tour groups throughout Turkey. She has extensive knowledge of Istanbul and Turkey as a whole. The Berk Hotel takes its name from Yeşim's brother Berk. Berk has a BS degree in Hotel Meeting and Sales Management from Johnson and Wales University, RI, USA and an Associates degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from London City College in London, England. he worked in New Jersey Sands Hotel Casino and Harrah's Entertainment. Since 2007 he has lived in the state of California. Berk has married with Zeynep Aynagöz on September 18, 2010. Had a lovely daughter named Feride Ece Evrensel & Cemre Evrensel.
