Our lovely guests returned home with the carpets they carefully chose at Nakkaş, and this message (with the sweetest approval from their precious dog 🐾) truly made our day:

“We bought a few beautiful rugs in Nakkaş last year which the boss loves. We came back again this year. The carpet experts there made great recommendations. Highly recommend!”

Thank you for coming back to us and for letting us be a small part of your home’s story. ❤️

Anatolian rug motifs were never meant to belong to just one person. They carry the stories, hopes, and traditions of generations.

Just like the Ram’s Horn—a symbol of strength, courage, and abundance, woven with meaning into every knot.

Well… this looks like future you, choosing your carpet at Nakkaş. 😌

Francesco Ballesio’s The New Carpet captures a scene that feels surprisingly familiar: a merchant presenting a richly patterned rug while the buyer takes her time deciding.

Some things really don’t change. A beautiful rug, too many good options, and the very serious question of “Which one is coming home with me?”

Some places in Istanbul are famous. Others are waiting to be discovered.

We are delighted to celebrate the release of Şerif Yenen’s new book, a journey into the city’s hidden gems, stories, and lesser-known corners.

As a co-sponsor of this special publication, we are proud to support a project that brings Istanbul’s rich cultural heritage closer to curious travelers and readers.

Here’s to discovering more of Istanbul, one hidden gem at a time. ✨

As The Odyssey captures everyone’s imagination again, here’s a little reminder: much of Odysseus’ legendary journey unfolded along the shores of modern-day Türkiye.

This handmade rug retells the epic in woven form.
