As we and many of our Guests around the world go into lock down over the coming weeks, our thoughts are with all those affected by the corona virus and with medical professionals across the world working tirelessly to contain it's spread.

We continue to follow the situation as it evolves and have thought long and hard about whether we should continue to post and about what. We finally decided not to add anymore to an emotionally exhausted narrative but we can no longer ignore the situation as it continues to unfold.

It is inevitable that small and large businesses will be impacted as a result of covid19 as will the global and economic climate. We have no doubt the season will be challenging here in Kalkan and we are deeply saddened for all those who operate in the tourism sector across the world and our beloved Guests who may have to forego or reschedule their travel plans.

We sincerely hope the recent measures put in place by the Turkish government and health professionals will contain the spread of cases and normality will resume in the not too distant future. In the meantime, HOPES and DREAMS will not be cancelled so with that in mind we shall continue to post about Kalkan and the wider region. After all, we are hoping this crisis is temporary and are optimistic to see many of you once life gets back to normal- whatever normal is.
