南倚壽豐溪，其上游清昌溪是台灣墨碧玉的產區；後坐鯉魚尾，是白鮑溪與荖溪的交會處，也是台灣玉的故鄉；
北靠木瓜溪則是玫瑰石的故鄉，其上游的慕谷慕魚是著名的觀光景點。
