Coliving
“I read when drying my hair. I read in the bath. I read when I'm sitting in the bathroom.” The author of renowned Harry Potter series, J. K. Rowling, once said.
讀過莊子鯤化為鵬後,再重新了解自己的生活,“here I stand, her I will stay,” After Elsa found the right place for herself, she sang.
Language Exchange Partners in Hostels
I remember my friends and I always needed to endeavor on stopping ourselves using Mandarin and only using English during lunchtime when I was studying in college. Nevertheless, we tended to stop our conversation due to some unknown vocabs and it turned out using Mandarin again without awareness. As a result, I was even unconfident at speaking English and unsure whether the way and accent I speak was understandable by foreigners before I went to Canada.
But, here in the hostel, I can speak different languages for as long as I want, English, Korean, French, Dutch, etc. I was curious why nobody encourages students to experience lives in this kind of hostels. I mean, though not every foreigner fluent in English stays in hostels, working here also broadened my horizon in different way. And many of the guests who choose hostels like communicating with others I think.
In short, hostels is a good place to do language exchange and make friends with low budget 🙂
