The taste of the world at Star Hostel!

We’re delighted to collaborate with our good friends Kudamonodanshi for today’s special breakfast.
The main dish features Grapefruit with Dried Smoked Longan Gin, a double-gold-winning jam that pairs beautifully with savory flavors.
Our salad dressing blends Passion Fruit & Pineapple with yogurt for a bright, refreshing tang,while dessert comes with a rich Whiskey Caramel Sauce over fudgy brownies.
For your drink, try adding Oolong Pineapple to hot tea for a gentle fruity aroma.

Inspired by Taiwan’s local fruits, Kudamonodanshi creates jams with refined layers and distinctive flavors—earning multiple honors at international competitions.

We’re thrilled to share these creations, born in Taiwan and celebrated around the world, right here at Star Hostel.

很榮幸可以與我們的好朋友 果食男子 一同合作這今天的特殊早餐。
主餐選用了適合搭配鹹食的雙金果醬──柴焙龍眼琴酒葡萄柚；
沙拉醬是酸甜的百香果鳳梨混優酪乳；
甜點有濃郁的威士忌太妃糖醬配布朗尼；
飲品特別推薦可以在熱茶中加入東市焙火鳳梨。

他們以台灣在地水果為靈感，創作出層次細膩、風味獨特的果醬，
並在國際級果醬大賽中勇奪多項大獎。
我們將這份來自台灣、走向世界的美味帶到信星餐桌，
希望旅人們在秋末的早晨裡感受到台灣水果的豐收。

Star Hostel x Kudamonodanshi

As the season drifts from autumn to winter, it feels like the perfect time to indulge a little.
On November 27, we’re preparing a one-day-only breakfast made with Kudamonodanshi’s seasonal jams — a cozy taste of harvest to warm the changing days.
They’ll also be setting up a pop-up stall in the lounge, so while you enjoy your meal, feel free to drop by and discover more about their fruit and jam creations.

在這秋末冬初的季節，你是否也逐漸胃口大開？
11月27日我們將推出一日限定的特別早餐，使用「果食男子」的果醬入菜，以豐收的滋味迎接季節轉換。

Star Hostel x SUZZI

For every backpacker, packing smart is part of the journey.
On longer trips, limited space means every item has to earn its place—and having access to laundry can make all the difference.

At Star Hostel, we offers 24-hour washers and dryers, so you can travel light and do laundry along the way. In our shop, you’ll also find a co-branded laundry bag made with Taiwanese brand Suzzi. It works as both a packing cube and a laundry bag, going straight into the machine with no extra hassle.

Enjoying local delicacies is one of the best parts of visiting Taiwan.
They’re also the flavors many overseas Taiwanese long for when they’re far from home.

Leslie, the artist behind Ounce Studio , drew inspiration from her own time living abroad. Realizing that the world knew so little about Taiwan, she began to paint the foods she loved most. From braised pork rice and oyster omelets to apple buns and boba tea, her art reimagines these beloved dishes with warmth and detail.

Delicious dishes might not fit in your suitcase, but memories sure do.
Drop by our shop to find postcards, calendars, fabric wall hangings, and keychains—small keepsakes that carry a bit of Taiwan’s everyday charm, ready for you to share or cherish.

體驗美食是來台灣旅行不可錯過的行程，
各式小吃也是旅外台灣人時常懷念的味道。

玩食插畫工作室的創作者Leslie透過自身早年在異地生活的經驗，
發現當時世界對台灣了解不多，
於是拿起畫筆，把心中最想分享的台灣，一筆一筆畫了出來。
從滷肉飯、蚵仔煎到蘋果麵包跟珍珠奶茶，
在Leslie細膩的筆觸下，重新詮釋了台灣人記憶裡的經典滋味。

美味的小吃雖然帶不回家，
信星小舖精選的一些明信片、桌曆、掛布與鑰匙圈，
是適合跟朋友分享的台灣日常，也是能自己珍藏的台灣回憶。

Jam + Toast = Hostel Breakfast Classic.
Simple? Yes. Boring? Never — if the jam is amazing.

We’re happy to now offer handmade jam from Kudamonodanshi, a small jam maker from Taichung. They use fresh, seasonal fruit from around Taiwan and keep things simple — no additives, just slow cooking and real chunks of fruit. Each flavor is gently spiced for a rich, layered taste.

Right now, we’ve got two flavors at breakfast:
🍓 Classic Strawberry – sweet, tangy, full of real fruit. Only here for the season!
🥃 Whiskey Toffee – rich caramel vibes with a hint of booze. Very much for the grown-ups.

Flavors change depending on what’s in season, so there’s always something new to try. Come back and taste what’s next!

抹醬配麵包，是青年旅館裡最常見的經典搭配；
看似樸實的組合，卻能透過靈魂抹醬來提升味蕾的層次。

我們引進了來自台中－「果食男子」的手工果醬，原料堅持以台灣本土當季水果、無添加人工果膠的法式果醬工法、經過職人用慢火與耐心熬煮，不僅保留大量果肉，搭配不同香料調合更堆疊出豐富的口感。

目前館內早餐提供兩款口味：酸甜平衡、吃得到果粒的「經典草莓」是季節限定；以及帶有酒香與濃郁焦糖的「威士忌太妃糖」是大人風味。

口味會隨著水果產季不定期更換，歡迎大家常常回來找我們玩！

Star Hostel x Tom Parker
「帕克很機車」特展—The Scooters of Taiwan

It all started with an accident.

British illustrator Tom Parker casually drew four scenes of everyday scooter life in Taiwan. After sharing them online, his inbox was flooded with hundreds of photos from people eager to show their own scooter moments.

Moved by the response, Parker started The Scooters of Taiwan series. After sketching hundreds of scooters, it eventually turned into this special exhibition.

This exhibit features a selection of his scooter illustrations, set against cityscapes from Taipei to Kaohsiung. With Parker’s colorful and detailed style, Taiwan’s unique scooter culture comes to life.

From commuters braving the rain and riders cruising with their pets to vendors turning their scooters into mini shops—each piece captures a slice of real Taiwanese street life. Whether you ride a scooter or not, you’ll feel like you‘re right there in the middle of it all.

一切開始於一個意外。

英籍插畫家Tom Parker隨手畫下四幅台灣機車騎士的日常樣態，
分享到網路後，信件夾開始湧入上百封來自各地的照片，
大家紛紛向他分享各式各樣的機車騎士；
收到熱烈回應的Parker也希望回饋大家的熱情，
於是開啟了「機車百態」系列，
畫著畫著，畫成了這場特展——「帕克很機車」。

這次特展我們精選了數十輛插畫作品，
搭配北、中、南、高不同的城市風貌，
透過Parker繽紛又細膩的風格，鮮明地呈現台灣街頭獨特的機車文化。

從風雨無阻的通勤族、載著毛孩兜風的飼主們，到附載著生計的小販，每一幅都捕捉了濃厚台灣風情的機車日常。
相信不論你是不是機車族，都能恍如站在台灣街頭般身歷其境。
