Papaya Lake Lodge is situated about 350 km away from Uganda’s capital, Kampala, in one of the country’s most scenic regions. The Great Crater Lakes area boasts over 20 extinct volcanic craters, forming a necklace of lakes, each unique in shape, size and colour, and each boasting its own distinct ecosystem; two of these breathtaking features lie right at our doorstep. To the west, the snow-capped R

wenzori Mountains tower above the area, breathing life into the valleys and rifts, which are engulfed in countless vanilla, banana, coffee and tea plantations. Papaya Lake Lodge owes its unique vibe to the owners’ senstitive blend of Africa’s traditional heritage and eco-luxury style. Traditional Ugandan art comes alive here, reunited with the splendour of the Great Crater Lakes and reinvigorated by local folk culture. Classy fusion cuisine; homegrown fruits and veg; artisan but discreetly elegant interiors; impeccable guest service and the key personal touch: these are Papaya’s trademarks that will make you feel at home with us.
