Lake Nkuruba is situated just 25 km south of the picturesque town of Fort Portal in Western Uganda. It provides the perfect base for exploring one of the world’s densest concentrations of volcanic crater lakes, en-route to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Visit the nearby Rwaihamba market on Mondays and Thursdays, reputedly one of the largest village markets in Uganda. Experience our guided tour to

the stunning ’Top of the World’ viewpoint overlooking several crater lakes and Kibale National Park. Or simply sit back, relax and unwind in the tranquil surroundings of our lakeside resort. Visitors to our reserve enjoy close encounters with four species of indigenous primates. Most significant among these are a troop of the endangered Uganda red colobus monkeys. In addition to these rare and remarkable animals, our guests regularly share the company of beautiful black and white colobus, vervet and red tailed monkeys. Bird enthusiasts will find the reserve and its lush forest a haven for several species including the Great Blue Turaco and the Black-and-white-casqued Hornbill.
