Lake Bunyonyi is home to a wide variety of small bird species, including:

1. African paradise flycatcher
2. African jacana
3. Malachite kingfisher
4. Yellow-throated longclaw
5. African fish eagle
6. Black-headed weaver
7. White-browed robin-chat
8. Grey-capped warbler
9. Red-chested sunbird
10. Pied kingfisher

These birds can be spotted around the lake’s shores, in the surrounding forests, and in the nearby wetlands.
