In 2017, I was driving Uber in Kampala.

I picked up a lady from Zimbabwe at Entebbe Airport. As we drove, she told me she was going to her Airbnb in Ntinda.

“Airbnb?” I asked.

She smiled and said, “Yeah, it’s like Uber… but for houses.”

That sentence changed my life.

I went home that day and started researching Airbnb like my life depended on it. For months, I soaked up every article, watched every video, and read every blog post.

But I had a problem.

I had all the knowledge, but none of the money to start.

So I did the only thing I could. I asked a friend who had Airbnbs if I could manage them for him.

He said yes.

That’s how I started - managing someone else’s units like they were my own. And that one opportunity opened the door to everything I’ve built today.

Back then, no one in Africa was creating Airbnb content. So I made it my mission to show up for those who had the hunger but didn’t know where to begin.
