Latitude 0° has been carefully designed and crafted to fit among the indigenous trees and orchids atop Makindye Hill, six kilometres south-east of the city of Kampala. An urban oasis with views over the entire city and across to Lake Victoria, it is a destination easy to access, but definitely harder to leave.
We are a hotel with spacious guest rooms and suites of varying sizes, all bedecked with luxurious linens, fabrics and furniture, and bespoke artwork – offering both full-size bath and walk-in shower, whether you are visiting for business, or just stopping over on your way to or from your safari adventures, each room makes use of natural light and plentiful tree canopies to create spaces that are soothing and stylish – with every amenity a traveller needs in a home away from home.
With restaurants and bars, creating culinary delights that fuse together flavours from all corners of the world, and offering an alluring array of wines curated from some of the most renowned estates on the continent. But our gourmet offering isn’t just about epicurean delights; it’s also about the surroundings, the atmosphere and the buzz of your fellow diners, and where and how you decide to dine. Inside or out? Garden, pool or lake view? Light and healthy, informal sharing dishes, or a finer dining experience?
We are also a private members’ club, The Other Side, offering our in-house guests and local members an environment that takes the pleasures of socialising, dining, drinking, networking and entertainment to new levels, and couples it with contemporary work and meeting spaces, a fully equipped gym, and a spa within which to pamper the body, mind and soul.
