40-45% of marketable fresh food is lost in wholesale markets due to massive delays that result in end consumers paying for wasted food through inflated food prices, as well as fostering malnutrition, poverty and hunger.
Together with our more than 2500 farmers and 500 vendors we fight against these circumstances! π
With the help of our ordering platform, we will provide both aid organizations and private donors from Uganda with the opportunity to order food aid in a trusted and transparent way.
What does it take to end hunger? Not much! We need your donation and your trust.
That's why you'll be informed of every step when you order relief food via our platform. In addition, our passcodes ensure that the food gets to your selected beneficiaries.
That is our promise. You want to learn more? Write to [email protected] π

Nampya Farmers Market is a mobile-based business-to-business food supply retail outlets, stalls, restaurants and hotels.
Established to reduce fragmentation in the produce market and to help improve on the agricultural value chain by shorten the food distribution value chain and eliminating middlemen who often lead to food inflation, Nampya Farmers Market can achieve this by operating a mobile-based food sourcing, distribution and logistics platform that connects the urban informal greengrocers, hotels, restaurants, schools and hospitals to rural smallholder farmers to make up an efficient, formal and transparent agri-food marketplace.
The problem with the supply side (the farmers) is futures. The farmer does not know the value of their produce prior to selling it. What we do is use technology to fix this and make it more predictable. Farmers can send SMS to alert NAMPYA of their produce while the staff in the field make bookings on the produce when itβs ready. NAMPYA then uses this data to create a profile about the value of a certain commodity at a certain point in the future thereby creating an organized farmers market.
Access to markets is a key concern for smallholder farmers across Africa, many of whom live in remote areas. Nampya Farmers Market proves right the thesis that digital solutions in emerging markets address real time challenges and create more transparency. Using mobile technology to match supply and demand, Nampya Farmers Market is helping to create a more efficient supply chain that connects farmers directly to markets, which also increases their incomes.
Our Mission is to provide affordable, quality, and safe food to Ugandaβs urban consumers, and reliable markets for farmers across the country.
