The Cave Community Campsite and Backpackers

A locally owned backpackers and campsite - The Cave is conveniently located minutes away from several amazing natural and community attractions. We are a 10 minute drive from both Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kalinzu Forest Reserve (chimp tracking!). The Cave is a 2 minute walk from the locally famous and beautiful "Twin Lakes" and a 10 minute walk to Kashoya-Kitomi forest where you can book

a lovely forest walk and swim in a crystal clear crater lake. The Cave offers a variety of accommodation options to fit everyone's budget. We offer dorm stye rooms or private cottages overlooking a beautiful crater lake. We also have a small campground for those wishing to have a more rustic experience. The Cave restaurant offers a variety of delicious foods including our famous Fish and Chips as well as delicious vegetables from our organic garden. Our bar is always stocked and even equipped with a pool table. Learn about local history by visiting our onsite Cultural Museum. You can also take a self guided canoe trip out on the crater lake. And don't forget to explore The Cave - a naturally occurring underground rock formation that channels water from an adjacent wetland into the crater lake.
