🦆 Duck Update! 🦆

Our newest ducks are doing wonderfully and have settled right in with the rest of the Bar Harbor flock! In fact, we may have made them feel a little too welcome. 😂

They’ve become so comfortable here that opening the waterfront doors to the store has become a bit of a challenge… apparently they’ve decided “pet friendly” applies to ducks, too! 🤣 We can hardly open the doors without a few feathered visitors trying to waddle inside and see what’s going on.

We love seeing how happy they are in their new home—and judging by this picture, we’re pretty sure they think they own the place now. 🦆💙

If you’re staying with us, keep an eye out for our newest residents around the park… or apparently, at the front desk! 😂

Sometimes you have to take a break from the important things—relaxing, camping, and enjoying that waterfront view—to squeeze in a little “work.” 💻😂

Some of our guests take camping so seriously, they’ve figured out how to do both at once! When your office looks like this, Monday meetings don’t seem quite so bad. 🌊🌳

Work hard. Camp harder. 😉🏕️

Sunrise on the Bush River means calm water, golden skies, and our resident bald eagles already hard at work. Moments like this are one of the many reasons we never get tired of waking up by the water. 💙

🍂 Hello, Fall! 🍁

Today marks the first official day of fall, and we’re ready for one of our favorite seasons on the Bush River! Crisp mornings, changing leaves, peaceful waterfront views, campfires, and cool evenings made for sitting outside just a little longer. 🔥🌅

The best part? Camping season doesn’t end when summer does—we’re open all year! Fall brings a quieter pace, beautiful weather, and a whole new look to the campground.

Here’s to cozy campsites, colorful trees, and plenty more camping memories ahead. 🏕️🍂

🎣 Don’t put those boats away just yet—it’s ROCKFISH SEASON, baby! 🙌🐟

Just look at this monster caught by Brayden Smith! Now THAT’S a catch! 👏

September means some of the best time on the water is still ahead of us. Cooler temperatures, beautiful days on the Bush River, and rockfish waiting to be caught. 🚤🍂

🎣 Maryland fall striped bass season reminder: September 1–December 5, anglers may keep 1 rockfish per person, per day, measuring 19"–24".*

So keep the boat in, grab your fishing rods, and get out there! Who knows what you’ll reel in next! 🎣

*Always check current Maryland DNR regulations before fishing, as rules and closures can change.

🦀 We’ve been telling you—the crabs are BITING! 😂

Apparently, we should’ve been a little more specific… because in this case, they’re biting each other! 🦀💥🦀

September is one of the best times for crabbing on the Bush River, and these guys are definitely keeping things interesting. Grab your traps, some bait, and a little patience—you never know what you’ll pull up!

We’re located just a few minutes off I-95 in Abingdon, Maryland, - Less than 5 miles - so there’s no need to travel far off your route. But instead of spending the night in a crowded parking lot-style stop, you can pull into a peaceful waterfront campground on the Bush River. 🌅

Hook up, stretch your legs, enjoy dinner by the water, watch the sunset, get a good night’s sleep, and hop right back on I-95 in the morning.
