The wait is over! Historic Abingdon is buzzing with excitement, and we can't wait to welcome you to 10 unforgettable days of art, music, history, food, shopping, and Appalachian hospitality.
Here's how to kick off your Festival Friday:
✂️ 8:45 AM – Official Ribbon Cutting
Join us as we open the Festival with the stirring sounds of the Highland Pipes & Drums. Enjoy complimentary coffee and morning goodies as we celebrate the beginning of another incredible Virginia Highlands Festival!
🎨 Arts & Crafts Show Opens
Browse the work of more than 60 regional artisans and discover one-of-a-kind handcrafted treasures.
🏺 Antiques & Vintage Show Opens
Explore exceptional antiques, vintage finds, and don't miss our NEW Vintage Market & Retro Room.
🖼️ Juried Fine Art & Photography Exhibitions
VHF Patrons are invited to an exclusive Wine Reception from 4:30–5:15 PM at the Arts Depot, offering a first look at this year's award-winning Fine Art Exhibition before the public reception begins.
From 5:15–6:30 PM, EVERYONE is invited to hear Jurors' Remarks and browse the exhibition at the Arts Depot. Meet the artists, celebrate this year's award winners, and hear directly from the jurors about the exceptional works on display.
While you're exploring, don't miss the Youth Fine Art Exhibition at the Historic Hattie House, showcasing the incredible creativity of our youngest artists, and be sure to visit the Photography Exhibition at the newly restored Abingdon Train Station, where outstanding regional photography takes center stage.
This is just the beginning! Ten days of concerts, culinary adventures, living history, outdoor experiences, authors, family fun, and so much more await.
