Hi everyone,

As we wind down the boating season I wanted to provide some important dates / info.

- All boats need to be off the docks no later than end of day 9/19/26.

- Docks will be pulled starting 9/20. I’m looking for volunteers to help, so if you’re available please let me know. Plan is to pull all poles / plastic docks at minimum on 9/20. I’ll need the most help on this day. Remainder will be pulled in the evenings following the weekend and I would only need a few hands.

I’m sort of in a pinch for the docks this year due to our annual family beach trip and Brecken’s hockey tournament overlapping. So help would be greatly appreciated to make removal this year as quick as possible.

Thank you!
Rob

Hello Everyone,

We had a really bad storm roll through a little while ago. Really really high winds and lots of rain.

I’ve gone around and surprisingly there isn’t too much damage aside from one wire down in the back of camp. Note: the road is blocked off from the barn to the sharp curve in the back.

There are sticks and branches down everywhere. It would be wise to come and check on your campers to ensure there is no roof damage.

Also, there are lots of washed out roads and walkways. So use caution if you make your way around.

At this time the power is still on.

We’ll do our best to get things cleaned up as soon as we can.

Thanks,
Rob

Dock Update:

Metal docks are in.

I’m planing to work on plastic docks Friday if I can gather enough hands for help.

If you’re free and able to offer a hand, please reach out and let me know.

I’ll need at minimum 4 people for assembly and ideally 6-8 for getting them in place and setting poles.

Thank you!
Rob

Dock Update:

Brookfield is planning another drawdown next week for maintenance. For that reason we cannot put the docks in any earlier then May 22.

I’m hoping the water is back up earlier then they are planning on the 22nd so we can get to work.

If you’re available that Friday / Saturday I would appreciate any help so that we can get these in quickly before the holiday weekend is underway.

Thanks,

Rob

Gamler’s Riverside Campers & Boaters!

We just got word from Brookfield (the folks who run the Holtwood Dam) that their Recreational Visitor Survey is now live! This survey is a big deal because it helps shape the next 30–50 years of how they manage Lake Aldred’s water levels.

If you love boating, docking at our campground, or just enjoying the river, your input matters. Tell them how important stable water levels are for safe boating, dock access, and keeping places like Gamler’s Riverside Campground open and usable all season long.

🔗 Take the survey here (takes just a few minutes):

The York furnace boat ramp is the location you should choose for the survey.

The survey is open all year (May 1, 2026 – May 1, 2027), so feel free to share.

Thanks for helping us protect the river experience we all love. See you on the river this season! 🚤⛺

Good morning everyone,

Water is back on after pinpointing areas of leaks in the system. Due to the complexity of the repairs, we are making some short term changes to water usage at camp.

- No pressure washing / washing on weekends until further notice.

- Pressure pump will remain off until further notice.

For users with lower pressure I recommend utilizing your camper tank/pump system. For cabins you can utilize a small 120v pump if desired, see example below.

This 4.0GPM water pump provides 50PSI of pressure and is self-priming up to 9.8 feet, making it great for RVs, irrigation, and more. You don't want to miss it!

ECO-WORTHY is committed to using advanced technology to manufacture the most reliable. The three-chamber high volume design is driven by a heavy-duty motor which produces flow rates of 4.0GPM and 50 PSI. The on demand water pump are suited for beverage and water applications such as city wa...
