I have decision fatigue at moment, but fixtures have been assigned to plumber and electrician (theme of cabin is ReUse, Recycle!) , the roughins r done, crew working on insulation today, then braving weather for deck ceiling this afternoon...new cabin is gettin' there!

Well, Cabin #11 is down and a skid steer dude is busy pulling out rocks today (I could hardly see him sometimes as he had dropped into various holes struggling with rocks - everywhere we dig: a big-ass boulder is found. The ex-owner used to joke about attempts to find areas to dig without rock issues. Conclusion: nowhere at CWC. Rocks are hidden everywhere. Thanks, glacial Laurentide Ice Sheet from the Pleistocene Epoch.) It's a little nerve-wracking measuring out new footing sites, but got easier as our choices were limited due to propane lines, water lines, new electric lines and variance restrictions not allowing any closer to lake, as examples. Footings will be done by tomorrow, yay!

A guest just emailed me this morning: "I think something of yours may have hitched a ride home with us. Please send chipmunk support for his travel expenses & future care. I can't believe he rode 4 hours on the trailer home with us. We stopped in Long Prairie & had lunch. Stopped at Menards in Marshall where we first noticed him on the trailer & also stopped at my son's in Marshall. He must have really wanted to start a new life outside of St. Leo MN. We will take good care of him. Let us know if you would like visitation."

Last CWC Sand Sculpting Contest - it was hoppin'! Shark Attack won 1st, with creative entries as follows: a Mermaid Pool (complete with dead fish!), Croc Village (they made it look like a real Croc sandal), Twin Castles winning Best Teamwork, an absolutely adorable Charlie the Chunky Chipmunk (superior sculpting!) and of course, my favorite (I'd be biased if judging which is why I recruit others, ha): CWC Bingo Card and ball - impressive.
