I am wondering how much of a discount I am going to get on my rent for not having water....? I'm sure I won't get one....even though I PAY for water as part of my rent.

This place is really going down-hill! Today, there is NO WATER in the WHOLE BUILDING! It really sucks to not be able to take a shower, or even flush your toilet! The owners are too cheap to make the required changes to our plumbing, so they have to shut the whole building's water down any time they have a plumbing problem. This happens WAY TOO often, and I for one am SICK of it! OMC....you guys SUCK!! PLEASE get this building up to code, and provide what you are supposed to!

We at the Mayflower Manor have had a broken elevator since at least November, 2014. That leaves one main elevator, and one freight elevator left working for this whole building! (15 Floors) Many people in this building need a wheelchair or motorized scooter to get around, and the missing elevator makes it very inconvenient for everyone during high-traffic times in the building.
OMC, (our landlords) have posted notices that a motor for the elevator has been sent out for repair, and the elevator should be fixed soon. They also previously posted notices that the holidays were making the repairs take "longer than expected", but those notices were taken down in mid-January.
We had an emergency Resident's Council meeting, and decided that if the elevator is not repaired before our rent is due on March 1rst, some of us are going to put our rent into escrow, along with a petition demanding that our elevator be repaired.
If you are a resident here in the Mayflower and would like to sign the petition and join us...please reply to this message, or speak with one of the council members for more info.
