We found a bit of free time yesterday morning, so we went on a family adventure ourselves in the hills. We headed for the area west of Spearfish to summit Crow Peak, one of our favorite close trails.
It’s been a minute or two since we have had the whole family on an extended hike. We (Mom and Dad) found that tables have turned from us encouraging and herding the kids to keep going down the trail to today with us having to stay focused to keep up with them!! They sure are growing up fast!
If haven’t ever been up to the top of Crow Peak, we would definitely recommend it!

Come check out all the antique, classic, and just plain awesome cars and trucks at the Devils Tower Car Show on Saturday, August 29. The Texas Trail Cruisers Club will also be accepting donations for the MIC Food Pantry. Bring the whole family!

Wow- We knew it was dry in the neighborhood but this is pretty unsettling to see the Belle Fourche River not flowing to the north of us at Colony, WY.
The BFR headwaters are south of Gillette WY and it flows across NE WY and into western SD where it joins the Cheyenne River which continues the journey to the mighty Missouri River.
