We recently replaced the flooring in this 1940s cottage (one of our sister properties, not the Bungalow). We were hoping to find old wood planks under the dated ceramic tile but sadly did not. The small patio at the Bungalow was made using the bricks from the old chimney that was taken out during a remodel.

The Albany Brick & Tile Co was built around 1880; it was incorporated in 1912. Mr. L. R. Harrison was owner and operator after about 1920 and the company employed seven men. Brickyards were popular in the 19th and 20th centuries for building materals.

The bungalow is getting a roof washing today, along with cleaning the sidewalks and gutters. All the moss that lays dormant on your roof during the summer will vigorously return as soon as it rains! This roof treatment will keep the moss at bay for a solid three years.
