The New York Sire Stakes is the nation' s oldest harness racing program of its kind.

The program is administered by the Agriculture & NYS Horse Breeding Development Fund. The New York Sire Stakes is the state's premier harness racing program designed to promote the breeding, buying and racing of standardbred horses in New York State. Administered by the Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund, the New York Sire Stakes is the nation's oldest harness racing program of its kind.

The defending 2-Year-Old New York Sire Stakes Champion returns to action after an impressive 2025 season that saw him earn over $627,000 and capture the NYSS Final at Batavia Downs in a track-record 1:52.1 performance.

The son of Huntsville out of The Show Returns wasted no time making noise in his 2026 NYSS debut, powering to a 1:51.4 victory at Saratoga, May 24. Now, Fragment looks to build on his championship resume as the 2026 NYSS season gets underway.
