Before COVID-19 turned the world on its head, one of the last guests at Sarabande was Katherine Kubarski, a grant-writer, traveler, poet from Santa Fe. Her visit was marked by the collective anxiety and tension during those first few days of the pandemic. By the end of her stay, she felt like a close companion on a strange new path. Recently, she had won 1st place in the SF Reporter's 2019 poetry contest for a beautiful poem that we'd like to share. Featuring artwork by Anson Stevens-Bollen, here is Lost in Migration by Katherine Kubarski.
