us to share with the community. Our family poured our hearts into Courtland. Transformed the manor house into a haven, a boutique bed and breakfast where families wove memories under the same roof that sheltered Civil War secrets. We were his eager helpers, building decks, and setting stages for events bathed in fairy lights. Witnessing the joy that bloomed on countless faces. Over the years we have enjoyed many school field trips with the different farm animals on our farm, horseback riding, we helped operate a bed & breakfast, build a deck, and set up for breathtaking events in which many were able to enjoy the beauty of this property. Then, on a heartbreaking April 6th early morning, the fire started. A frantic call echoed, "The Manor house is burning!"
The flames devoured years of laughter, birthday breakfasts, and whispered secrets. Though the fire spared all lives with just a few injuries to report, it stole our historic Manor. The historic architecture is not only breathtaking but one of a kind. But amidst the dark ashes, and a swamp of water, a flicker of hope remains.
