Don't delay in making your reservations! The calendar is starting to fill up for the season. Yes, I've been duking it out with some pretty serious health issues in recent months 🙄, but I'm determined to keep doing this thing I love! I also have some pretty great friends and family who have offered to fill in if I need help.

This is the reply from our current guest when I sent a message yesterday morning checking to see if all was going well at the cottage:

"You have done such a great job to make our stay perfect!! We love it. Thank you so much for sharing your little bit of heaven with us."

We've had SO much on our plate lately that has challenged us personally beyond anything so far in life I think. (And, by the way, thank you SO much to all who are praying for us!) Sometimes when life is so hard, it feels like the world should just stop while we navigate it all. But we still need to do all the things. So to get this beautiful comment amid the current storms was just what the doctor ordered. 🥹❤️‍🩹

We don't charge a cleaning fee because I do it myself, so this was a totally unexpected bonus left by our last guests for the "cleaning lady"! 😉 And in spite of what the note says, these guests did NOT leave a mess at all - the cottage was in great shape after they left. 🤩 BUT...this sort of thing is NEVER, EVER required or expected AT ALL. Just an unusually thoughtful blessing that brightened my day and an example of what terrific guests we've had the pleasure of hosting. 🤗

Our most recent guests just checked out and it was another great experience! People are so kind and thoughtful at the cottage. 🤗 AND this guest already booked the weekend of Rhubarb Fest '24!!

Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are still open right now, but like I say: don't wait too long and miss out! Just had someone ask about Homecoming weekend and it's already spoken for. That was our very first booking after we debuted on AirBnb as Simple Comforts Cottage Airbnb!

Also, I thought I would share the latest cottage photos - I love taking pictures of it. No huge changes to see, but a few little things here and there and I took pictures giving you a peek into some of the cupboards. And that's just a little of what's there!

Fun living room side notes: you can actually take Tic-Tac-Toe off the wall and play it! I was also trying to figure out a way to let people know the LR chair reclines and one of our guests suggested a tag! Great idea!

HAPPY 6-MONTH ANNIVERSARY TO Simple Comforts Cottage Airbnb!! 🥳

Since we just started listing in April 2023, each new month has been a "first" and we weren't sure what this would look like from month to month. We're pleased to report that at 6 months in, we're still booking steadily. ☺️

Always working hard to maintain 5-Star ⭐️Superhost status because making guests happy is just the best!
