The fish are biting! Check out this private boat catch from this morning on Lake Michigan at Algoma. 5th Steele Place is ready to lodge your group! As always, our cleaning crew disinfects all touch points and the sheets, towels and pillow cases after each stay.

Camryn Haling of Shawano, age 8, reeled in some beautiful steelhead (and one small king) this morning in between naps while fishing with his dad, Josh. Great catch guys!

No worries about sharks on our beautiful beach, unless you count this cool sand sculpture made by our cleaning staff, Arianna and Jenny!

Shark Week may be over for another year, but the 2019 Shanty Days Fishing Contest is just getting started! Our fish can indeed run pretty large, but no worries about sharks — unless you count this midnight-made sculpture by Arianna Madden and Jenny Farley on Crescent Beach.

Thanks to generous sponsors, this tournament pays out more than $1,000 in cash and prizes. Tickets cost $3 for youths 15 and under (inland or big lake tickets), $5 for age 16-17 and $10 for age 18 and up.

Get them at Algoma BP, Graf's Mobil, Hooked Up Tackle or Capt. K's. We'll have some available at the marina during marina weigh-in times as well (first ones 9-10:30 a.m. and 8:30-9 tonight, fish cleaning station).

NEW THIS YEAR, if you have fish to weigh outside of the times printed on your ticket stub, you can bring them to Hooked Up Tackle on Steele St.
