Yay!!!

Built in 1890, the Ahnapee & Western Railway connected Algoma to markets across Wisconsin, fueling local industry, agriculture, and growth for nearly a century. Today, its legacy lives on through the Ahnapee Trail and this beautiful Steele Street mural, reminding us of the railroad's lasting impact on our community and its history.

Thank you to the City’s Community Development Committee, building owner, Kristine Ruehl of Hotel Stebbins, and Ahnapee Shores Camping Resort LLC for supporting this upkeep. Thank you to Algoma True Value Door County Cooperative for donating paint and Nick Uecker for donating a lift. We are excited to bring this mural fresh life. Watch our progress over the next week.

Spring is here and letting the American flags fly, once again, in our wonderful Algoma:)

Many conflicts and political divide in our country, so this is refreshing as it’s all love and community at The Luxe Loft!
