Hound hunts play out in a number of different ways, but there generally is a standard you can lean on. So far, each time we hunt with the Davis’s, it never is a normal hunt. Battling a week of rain, high winds, and lots of non-targets occupying the bait sites, we finally ended on a bear for them late afternoon yesterday in a completely unexpected and unorthodox hunt.
Long story short: what was confusing chaos thought to be a trash run, ended in a treed bear with Cam and Drifter holding it for hours while the crew trekked into some unforgiving country to get to them.
Stephanie and Tyler travel halfway across the country seeking this adventure, and although we generally try to avoid hunts that go from sun up to sun down, their hunts seem to always happen that way. We welcome the challenge and will get it done with smiles on our faces. Tyler and Stephanie Davis thank you for being such wonderful comrades to share in these unique hunts!
